Androgyny…

We wanted to highlight an issue very close to our hearts and show our support for the LGBT community as well as the astounding talents of my MUA Daniel. Our theme… Androgyny.

I believe we should embrace every person no matter how different, how they look, how they dress or who they choose to love. Inside we are all made the same. We did this shoot to show how a person can be beautiful in every way they choose to present themselves. Thanks so so much to my team as always and Justin and Justine for modelling for me!

‘Androgyny is the combination of masculine and feminine characteristics. Gender ambiguity may be found in fashion, gender identity, sexual identity, or sexual lifestyle…’

DID YOU KNOW THAT IN AUSTRALIA… -LGBTI young people report experiencing verbal homophobic abuse (61%), physical homophobic abuse (18%) and other types of homophobia (9%), including cyberbullying, graffiti, social exclusion and humiliation?

80% of homophobic bullying involving LGBTI young people occurs at school and has a profound impact on their well-being and education?

Almost half of all gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people hide their sexual orientation or gender identity in public for fear of violence or discrimination???!!!!

13% of LGBTI people have attempted suicide, compared to 3% of heterosexuals??! You can help make a difference… Don’t fear what you don’t understand. Every person is different and every one of them is beautiful no matter how they choose to dress from day to day.

As a society we need to learn to accept everyone as a whole no matter what!

Thanks so much as always to my team… Daniel Greenfield for your always ALWAYS amazing make up skills… Sharni for the lighting and of course Justin Davies and Justine Deeva for lending their face and incredible personalities to my vision. You are so inspiring and a genuine joy to be around!
